Good to know

The best time to travel to Thailand

The best time to visit Thailand is from November to February, when the weather is pleasantly cool and dry. These months are ideal for beach holidays, sightseeing and outdoor activities in regions such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai and the southern islands. From March to May it gets very hot, with temperatures above 35°C, which is better suited to beach stays than sightseeing.

The rainy season from June to October brings frequent but short, heavy showers, fewer tourists, green landscapes and lower prices. During this time, the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, around Koh Samui for example, gets less rain than the west coast. All in all, the cool, dry period from November to February offers the best conditions for a visit to Thailand.
