Good to know

The best time to travel to Canada

As Canada is the second-largest country in the world, it has very different climate zones, from maritime to polar to continental. In the north you'll find long, snowy winters and short, warm summers, while in the west you can expect rain and mild temperatures all year round.

It's hard to say when the best time to visit Canada is, as you can travel there all year round. We do, however, recommend visiting in spring or autumn, when temperatures are more bearable for sightseeing, there are fewer crowds and you have the chance to see the breathtaking Indian summer. Canada offers great hiking, fantastic snow activities, picturesque national parks, modern cities and the friendliest people.

What could be better than crossing this vast country with a local beer in hand while you gaze out of the train window at the Rocky Mountains or the plains of Saskatchewan? You won't be disappointed.
