The best time to travel to Mongolia
The best time to travel to Mongolia is summer (June to August), when the weather is warm and pleasant – ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, horse riding and camping. The Naadam festival also takes place in July, and the landscapes are green and clear.
Spring (May) and autumn (September) offer mild weather and fewer tourists – ideal for sightseeing and exploring nature, with blossoming landscapes in spring and golden autumn colours in September.
Winter (November to March) is very cold, often below -20°C, but it's great for winter adventures and experiencing traditional nomadic life. All in all, summer, spring and autumn offer the best conditions for a trip to Mongolia.
